Sette Colli Magazzino - I

This is the final painting in a series of three that I did when I first returned to Stati Uniti from the medieval village of Pari, Italia. There are so many nooks and crannies in this little village, which also has no shortage of terraces and stairways. While I was fascinated by the metalwork of the door, I also wanted to capture the curves of the stairway and brickwork which give so much character to the village. While the door and stairs start on the level of the main giro (circle), the palazzo is several levels up, as evidenced by the railing in the far background.
