This was my first attempt at painting a pet, and I was very lucky with how it came out. This is a portrait of Pixie, an Italian greyhound (mostly) who lives in the village of Pari. Even though I was in Stati Uniti when I painted her, I was able to capture her likeness from a photo that I had taken, and her personality from the time I spent with her. She has one of the sweetest dispositions of any dog that I have ever met, yet will happily sit (and turn her back on you) if she doesn’t want to go somewhere.
