Like most Italian villages, Pari is a community connected by many series of stairs. These stairs lead up from the main parking lot, past La Porta Magnifica, and up to the main giro past the curve featured in Il Ponte - II. I was fascinated by the way the stairs ran down below the little terrazza (patio) on the left-hand side of the stairway. The right side of the stairway is protected by a fence to help prevent unsuspecting visitors from driving off the edge of what appears to be a straight roadway (hint: Italian streets are often curved).
