This was my second attempt at painting this magical set of stairs in the medieval village of Pari, Italia. This time I decided to do a landscape instead of a portrait view to lend more focus on the expanse of the wall and the stairs. In order to do this, I had to place less emphasis on the change in height, and more on the details of the walls, garden, and plant life that one finds along the palazzo. I also played with different textures for visual (and tactile) variety.
