This is the first painting that I created employing an entirely different approach to perspective than what I had been using for almost a year. Instead of focusing upon drawing lines at specific angles to emulate perspective, I pictured myself drawing into the page as I laid out the buildings and walkways. While this technique was uncomfortable (and counterintuitive) at first, over time it has allowed me to draw more accurate representations of subjects at a much quicker pace.
