With the advent of a New Year in 2025, I was determined to mix things up a bit and attempt a different approach to my artwork. Instead of beginning with India ink, I decided to lay down shapes in watercolor to build form first. Once I had painted the basic forms, along with color variations, I added in details with black India ink, giving rise to a very different type of painting than what I had been accustomed to creating.
