This was my third and final attempt at painting the old manger in Pari, Italia. In this version, I opened up the gate and matched the maroon to the color of the original gates to make the painting feel more inviting. I also opened up and added more detail to the salt pine, while adding additional trees and shrubs to give visual variety to the background. I was also very careful with the color mixing and application and focused on recreating texture by layering the colores in the roof and walls.
