This was the first work of art that I created upon my return to Pari. Even though I worked from photos, I was able to walk by and absorb new details while working on this piece. While I found the overhang, porch, and the door enchanting, I was captivated by the transitions in the pavement as well. This door is located in one of the steeper sections of the village and actually has stairs cut into the sidewalk to make it easier to walk through this area. At this point in time, I was still experimenting with pre-mixed watercolors and attempting to gain a better handle on portraying perspective.
