This is another piece that I originally inked in using the Micron pens, only to finish the watercolor more than a year later. I found the flowers particularly challenging, especially since one typically can’t layer lighter colors over dark when using watercolor. To add in the flower details, I used my metal nib dip pen with the watercolors. This allowed me to apply the paint with a very fine tip to work in the texture of the pink night-blooming flowers and yellow roses.
