Il Vicolo dei Fiori - I

This is one of the many hidden little nooks in Pari that is easy to pass by if one is not paying attention. Nestled in between the rows of houses, is a tiny little alleyway full of potted plants and planters. I was fortunate to pass by here when the geraniums were in full bloom. I continued experimenting with the underpainting in this photo, and chose to use a combination of dark blue for the shadows and yellow for the highlights. All in all, a fun piece to paint with all of the lines and textures.
