Pari, Italia has many hidden little gems sprinkled throughout the main village, not the least of which is this brick bridge that leads to a resident’s front door. The drop below the bridge is at least 14 ft and cars are only allowed to drive in the upper section, as evidenced by the white circular sign with a red ring. At this point in time, I was still using the Micron pens and watercolor pencils, but had transitioned to using sepia-colored microns. I found that the black linework competed too much with the colors, while the sepia-tone let colors breathe and gave rise to pieces that felt more integrated and complete.
