I had so much fun creating this piece using the simplest of materials: bright white paper and black India ink. The medieval village of Pari, Italia is full of little nooks and crannies, as well as unusual architectures with intriguing textures. I had been wanting to do a painting of this piece for quite some time, and was pleased to find myself creating a drawing instead. The larger format, along with a focus on ink, allowed me to capture the textures and shadows that make Pari such a magical place.
