This was the last piece that I made using watercolor pencils before transitioning into watercolors. The Campanile, or bell tower, is the most prominent landmark and one of the easiest ways to orient oneself in Pari. Even though this medieval Italian village is tiny by modern standards, it takes the form of a series of interlocking circles that spiral around and interconnect with one another. No matter where you are walking, the bell tower is usually nearby, making this landmark a reliable way to navigate the twists and turns of this beautiful village.
