After revisiting the shading planes, I decided to experiment with a new set of Staedtler Mars Black pencils that had come in the day before. These pencils have a much greater impact than the regular graphite pencils. I was able to get a better head tilt and insights into shading thanks to the exercises that I have been exploring.
