Putnam Art Heist 2025

Today I donated a piece for the 2nd annual Art Heist for the Putnam Arts Council. This piece, entitled "Il Gelsomino - II", captures the energy of Pari, Italia, perhaps the one place in the world where I have felt truly at home as an adult. My hope is that this piece will find a happy home and give its owners a similar sense of peace and contentment that I find in my village.

I am also hopeful that the Art Heist will help bring visibility to the arts in this little town situated in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut, Stati Uniti. While individuals in Italia take the time to appreciate art and life, life in the Northeastern corner of the United States tends to be fraught with a sense of ceaseless movement.

The arts promote a different approach to life, where one is forced to slow down, look, appreciate, and perhaps most importantly feel. I am grateful that I am finally able to give back to this community while helping raise money to promote the arts whenever I am here in the States and away from Italia.
