This is the second portrait that part of a series of three that I created for the same family. While Alekos - I came together pretty quickly, I really wrestled with the composition of this piece. Initially, I was hoping to be able to use another photograph, but the values were too dark to make a workable painting from. This piece, which is based upon a photo taken in Greece, had much better lighting, and Nikos had more of a smile on his face!
