This is another commission, this time for a friend of mine. This portrait features her cat, Max, who is sitting up on a huch that he knows that he’s not allowed to be on. I wasn’t quite sure at first, but when I showed this piece to my friend, she said, “Yep, thats Max!”. The most challenging aspects of this piece were not only the fur, but also how much black and grey were in the photo, making it somewhat tricky to balance at times. I opted to keep Max’s outline open so that the fluffiness of his fur would come through — the attitude is all his own.
