This was my first rendition of the local restaurant in Pari, Italia affectionately named “Le Due Cecche”, which are a type of mockingbird typical to the Tuscan region of Italy. At this point in time, I was still using black Micron pens and watercolor pencils — hence the dark lines and the saturated greens. This illustration depicts the restaurant in the winter months, when the patio and its plants, chairs, and umbrellas have been packed away.
